Preservation

Digital Restoration • Copies • Rehousing • Mounting • Framing

Photography and the multitudes of media that have been created from it throughout its history presents a unique area of archival presevation and storage. Over the last 30 years the digital world has given us tremendous opportunites in this field.

Woods Studio works all types of photographic materials. Through digital treatments we are able to restore damage, correct color shifts due to age, and improve the overall density of prints, negatives or slides. We can then print new prints, make multiple copies for you, mount your photographs and frame them.

Besides the standard size prints that many have tucked away in their attic, Woods Studio also deals with more unique items like panoramic photographs that may have been rolled up for years and are not viewable as is, large negatives that are glass or acetate, and 19th century photographs on metal or glass.

You may contact us to set up a time to discuss your project and the best way to approach it.

All work is done by estimate.

We work with all types of still photography and documents.

• Prints of any size including panoramic • Negatives of any size including glass plates • 35mm slides • 19th century cased images, daguerreotype, ambrotype, tintype • Paper documents including newspapers
